I love my mountains. Being in them brings me much pleasure and inspiration. Although I mostly do landscapes, I do figures and other subjects too.
Many of my paintings are based in Canada's Rocky Mountains, and our Selkirk Mountains, however, I do enjoy travelling with my husband so I paint other different areas too.
My approach to painting is a traditional one, and I represent my material in a realistic manner. Oil paints are my medium of choice, but I also use acrylics.
I'm an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists, and of the Revelstoke Visual Art Center where I have taught oil painting classes. Singing, comunity theatre and stained glass are other thngs I really enjoy.
My studio work is done in a simple area set up in my home off the kitchen. Collectors are welcome to visit. I also have this web site where one can shop for affordable art work on line. None of my paintings are copied in any form, except the occassional art card, so collectors are assured of a totally original piece of art.
I have collectors in Bermuda, England, Germany, Scotland, Switzerland, Tasmnia, The United States, and of course my beautiful homeland of Canada.
I am always pleased to talk to people about my art and to share it with them, so feel free to contact me via this site and I will get back to you right away.
