Fire Cloud Over Roger's Pass
36x24inches - oil painting
This particular summer, I was one of 6 participants who were given the opportunity to feature their work in the “Art in the Park” program , sponsored by Glacier National Park and Mount Revelstoke National Park. We were housed at Fidelity Weather Station for the week, high above the Trans Canada Highway winding through to the Roger's Pass far below. Our first evening was stellar with huge cumulous clouds forming above the valley dwarfing the mountain peaks below. Smoke from nearby forest fires created a stunning orange glow accentuating the building clouds. An inspirational start to a wonderful week.
