Flower Carpet to Schuss Lake
12x16 oil painting
I was one of 6 chosen artist who took part in the Art In The Park week long program in Glacier National Park a few years ago. On our second day we hiked up over a ridge and into a valley to Schuss Lake. This lake is not visited by many. We circled the lake, and I spent a couple of hours sketching this delightful mountain lake, while the others tramped on further. On leaving the lake basin I ran into a lovely field of flowers which slanted back towards the creek and lake below. Such a beautiful spot carpeted with wildflowers and brimming with Nature's perfect design.
