Tending Her Land - Cabot Trail, Nova Scotia - unframed
Oil painting - 12x16 inches - While visiting Nova Scotia in late spring, we spent a week on the island of Cape Breton. Our hope was to drive the fabulous Cabot Trail in perfect weather, but the weather was not co-operating. Our last full day we had to go, regardless of the weather. We awoke early to fog, but set off. Within an hour the fog had cleared and we were graced with beautiful blue skies. What luck. The day was glorious. On a short side trip, I spotted this elderly woman hoeing her garden, with the ocean as a backdrop. It was a quaint site.
