Way Back When
24x18 inch oil painting done on deep canvas. We spent a delightful day in the fall roaming the backroads of northern Washington. We passed many abandoned homes, among them this one close to Chesaw. The huge leaning tree seemed protective of the old building and added to the scene. I enjoy painting old dwellings, as they have such charm. They used to have a purpose, but now just sit alone. If they could only talk, the tales they could tell.
