Being in "my" mountains brings me so much pleasure and inspiration. I love mountains and mostly focus on them for my landscapes, but I do figures and other subjects too.
We live in the Rocky Mountain Trench in the small town of Radium Hot Springs, British Columbia. Here I am surrounded by beautiful scenes in all directions. Since we moved here from Revelstoke in the Fall of 2017, I now have a lovely walk-out basement which has become my studio and a gallery, where visitors are welcome. It's a far cry from the end of the kitchen table I had while we lived in Revelstoke, so I'm in heaven.
My approach to painting is a traditional one, and I represent my material in a realistic manner. Oil paints are my medium of choice, but I also use acrylics.
I'm an active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists. I have taught oil painting classes, Singing, community theatre, quilting, and stained glass are other things I really enjoy.
Besides my studio, I also have this web site where people shop for affordable art work on line. None of my paintings are copied in any form, except for art cards, so collectors are assured of a totally original piece of art.
I have collectors in Bermuda, England, Germany, Scotland, Switzerland, Tasmnia, The United States, and of course my beautiful homeland of Canada.
I am always pleased to talk to people about my art and to share it with them, so feel free to contact me via this site and I will get back to you right away.
