From Tasmania: re - a commissioned piece
I had a great surprise in the mail yesterday, see attached. I love the painting and I think you really have done the mountain justice. The relief and shading on the face of Sir D is wonderful and I you really get a sense of the contrast between the wooded confines of the valleys to the exposed alpine ridges. Just fantastic. Thanks so much.
It is currently above the mantle in the living room and it has already spiked Mel's interest in another trip back to Canada! Perfect.
Thank you again for a great reminder of Revelstoke.
From BC: re - a piece that was hung in a new office for several months to help brighten it up, and then returned to my stock for sale.
Thank you Cecilia! My beautiful painting from you has found the perfect home...I look at it before bed every night! I love it! Thank you ! Have a very merry Christmas!
From Alberta: re - my Colour For Covid paintings. I posted daily on Facebook. Ninety paintings in 2020, and 90 in 2021, during the bleak winter months. This lovley gal has bought 2 of my paintings. I sooo appreciate collectors such as she.
Dear Cecilia, I just want to thank you one more time for posting your paintings so faithfully. You have made a significant contribution to my ongoing good mental health. I'm sure I'm not the only one. May you and your family stay healthy and may our paths cross again sometime in the near future.
From Alberta: a lady who bought my piece off an online art show cuarted by the Federation of Canadian Artists.
The painting arrived today.
It looks wonderful.
It is a Christmas gift for one of my sons. They asked for art this year.
Your painting reminded me of the Tidely-Idley, the dory in one of Robert McCloskey's books.
It is a child's book by the glorious name of Burt Dow - deep water man.
It is a book that my mother read to me. that I in turn read to my children and now it is being read to the next generation.
It seemed to be a perfect gift.
with thanks and Merry Christmas
